It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Emily Paenayi Dhari, age 96 of Toronto Canada and formerly of Tain Settlement, Port Mourant, Guyana. She was the wife of the late Mr Walter Ramdat Dhari aka Walter Dimla. Auntie Emily was the mother of Sandra Dass, Hansrani Radica Dhari,Chandrica Dhari, Mohan Das Dhari(Nano) and Dwarka Dhari(Doc). Auntie Emily will be lovingly remembered for her impeccable needlework, her infectious smile, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel like family. She will be deeply and dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on June 13, 2026.
The viewing will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (EST), followed by the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at:

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Apalsamy Samuel aka Shakun/Sampunkin, age 75 of Tampa, Florida and formerly of Clifton Settlement, Port Mourant, Guyana. He was the son of the late Samuel Appadu aka Sam and Phulmattie Appadu aka Phulo. Brother of Sattie, Wattie and the late Jerry. Samuel was the husband of Devika Samuel and father of Anita Kong (Meena), Perdita Lopez(Chena) and Avita Hubbard(Sharon)
Viewing and Hindu funeral rites :- Friday June 5th, 2026 from 9am-11am. Cremation @ 12noon at Trinity Memorial Gardens - 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, Florida 34655.
Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Samuel family, sons-in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all relatives and friends. We will keep you in our prayers and thoughts.

Today, on Indian Arrival Day, we pay our deepest respects to our foreparents who journeyed across the kala pani with courage, faith, and determination.

Though they faced great hardship, they never let go of their dharma. They kept alive their prayers, their संस्कार (values), and their devotion to Bhagwan.

Because of their strength and sacrifice, we stand here today with identity, culture, and pride.

Let us honor them not only in words, but in how we live—with truth, humility, and righteousness.
