A day late due to high emotions but ONE YEAR AGO yesterday October 30th 2024 cinna bun was in the yard when a little boy across the street called him over, it was poor timing as a car was coming and sadly cinna was not lucky enough to miss it
Cinna was hit head on by a jeep and rolled under the car before he took off running down the road in fear. Que 7 and a half hours of being lost in the woods by himself and wondering to the first house with porch lights he saw wjen it got really dark about a mile or so away from his house where he got hit
It was through immense panic and perseverance his family with the help of the local community and dog gone recovery (Iāll tag them in the comments) we used thermal drones and thermal binoculars to try to find this boy when it got dark he thankfully walked onto the porch of a lady who lived at the end of our road who had been helping search for him
The most of his ādamageā was the fur removal on his eyebrow we assume thatās where he was hit and the car kinda took a chunk of fur with it, it came cleanly out there was no blood but we did neosporin him daily to assist with the healing
Asside from the eyebrow he had some body soreness but was otherwise ok and most importantly alive!
Iām thankful everyday that I get to wake up with cinna bun I love this little dog so much and I know you all do too so give cinna some extra love next time you see him traveling
He may be tiny but he is mighty
