Today, we proudly celebrate the amazing mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, and mother figures whose strength, compassion, and unwavering support help shape our families, workplaces, and communities every day.

Whether serving behind the headset, in the field, or supporting loved ones at home, mothers are often the calm during life’s most challenging moments. Their dedication, sacrifice, patience, and unconditional love inspire us all and remind us of the true meaning of service and commitment.

The public safety profession requires long hours, missed holidays, late nights, and tremendous sacrifice, and so many mothers continue to answer the call both at work and at home with grace and resilience. Today, we recognize and thank each of you for the countless ways you make a difference, often without recognition.

On behalf of Pennsylvania APCO, we wish all mothers a joyful, relaxing, and well-deserved Mother’s Day. Thank you for everything you do to care for, support, and strengthen those around you every single day. 💐💙

As we continue to highlight this year’s award recipients, the Pennsylvania Chapter of APCO International is proud to recognize the dedication, professionalism, and life-saving work happening across our 9-1-1 centers.

Today, we honor the York County 911 Dispatch Staff for their outstanding performance during the North Codorus Township shooting on September 17, 2025.

Despite limited staffing, the dispatch team acted swiftly, decisively, and without hesitation, ensuring effective coordination and communication during a critical incident. Their actions directly contributed to saving Lt. Godfrey’s life.

Their response is a powerful reminder of the critical role telecommunicators play in every emergency and the lasting impact of their commitment to the communities they serve.
