June is Gun Violence Awareness Month.

This month, we honor survivors, remember those whose lives have been taken by gun violence, and recommit ourselves to building safer communities for everyone.

Gun violence is preventable. Together, we can advance solutions, support impacted families, and work toward a future where every person can live free from the fear of gun violence.
Join us throughout June as we raise awareness, share stories, and take action.

RICAGV was honored to attend Sojourner House’s 50th Anniversary Breakfast in support of their decades of life-saving work serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and human trafficking.

We are proud to stand alongside organizations like Sojourner House, as victims of these crimes are too often impacted by gun violence. Together, we remain committed to building safer communities and supporting survivors with compassion, dignity, and care.

Real change happens when communities show up together.

We’re looking for volunteers, advocates, and supporters to join us for Lobby Day at the Rhode Island State House. This is an opportunity to meet directly with legislators and advocate for policies that help prevent gun violence and protect Rhode Islanders.

Whether this is your first time participating or you’ve joined us before, we’d love to have you there.

The RICAGV is proud to stand in solidarity with our partners in support of the Rhode Island Voting Rights Act (RIVRA) H8334/S3143 because safety and democracy are deeply connected: communities most impacted by gun violence are often the same communities that face barriers to voting access. Voting rights are fundamental to promoting equity in public health and safety.
