This last Friday, the Immigrant Coalition of RI sat with local, state and federal leaders for a round table conversation centered on how immigration polices are impacting Rhode Island.

These conversations are essential to inform decision makers directly from the people that serve communities impacted by ICE and immigration polices.

Yesterday, the Immigrant Coalition of RI (ICRI) held a powerful kick off to the legislative season by hosting an Advocacy Day at the State House in support of our immigrant neighbors! We heard advocates and legislators alike call to the RI State Representatives and Senators to not stand by but stand up for our communities, and support bills such as H1798 (364 Day Bill), H7360 (Protect Our Courts Act) and legislation to increase access to RI Works programs for lawfully permanent residents.

Thank you to our legislative sponsors and leaders, our community advocates, and our community for joining us in amplifying the importance of these bills to our House Representatives! Stay tuned for more updates to come!

For the 5th year, the senate passed S063 the "364 day bill", while in the House it was held again for further study. Thank you for your continuous support RI State Representative Leonela Felix Jonathon Acosta David Morales Tiara Mack !

For the first year we had the votes to pass the House! Yet, both leadership and the House Judiciary Committee refused sending H5502 for a Floor Vote!

In 2026 we need your help to push the 364 day bill for a successful floor vote and protect immigrants from unjust deportation!
