This 4 yo ottb gelding has been started under western tack and is a steady, straightforward mount. No issues with mounting/dismounting from the ground and has already trailered in full tack. A lovely prospect to bring along in any flat discipline

MENDEL’S SECRET

6 yo ottb gelding. Retired 2 years ago and has had some trail experience.

He is athletic and sound and suitable for any discipline. Already happily hopping over ground poles. (See story)

3-year-old • 15.1+ hh • OTTB filly

Tiny but mighty—and especially easy to look at! 😍

Corde never raced and has no published works. She’s a sweet, sensible little mare who is respectful, easy to handle, and tries hard to understand what’s being asked of her.

She has been reported sound, although she is currently showing a slight left-hind lameness. With time to let down, patience, and the right person, we think this little girl has the potential to make a wonderful partner in any discipline. ❤️

She’ll need an experienced rider/handler who is willing to give her the time and confidence-building she deserves.

HE’S ELUSIVE ❤️

Sometimes the best horses have the sweetest stories—and He’s Elusive has one we just learned about.

This 5-year-old, 16+ hand OTTB gelding is a genuinely lovely boy who absolutely believes scratches are a two-way street. 🥰 Give him some love and he’ll happily return the favor!

His racing story is special, too. He’s Elusive was bred from a deeply meaningful family connection and went on to earn his first win at Horseshoe Indianapolis after a patient journey with his trainer. His story was recently featured in the Paulick Report.

Now it’s time for this big, sweet boy to find his next chapter. ❤️

📣We truly can’t say enough good things about this horse.

✨OH MONACO is a four year-old OTTB gelding 16+ hands. He never raced and last worked in October 2024. He retired with mild arthritis in his right knee and he is sound at all gates under saddle and should be suitable for any mid-level athletic career.

❤️He is our trainers, favorite horse to ride. For those who like a horse that brings energy and confidence to a ride this is the boy for you.

That is the number of days STORMY PATTERN has been at Second Stride. We just can’t figure out why 🧐

✅Stormy has proven himself to be a trustworthy mount and is our most well behaved horse in the program. He loves to work and is ALL class.

💯 Stands nicely for the vet and farrier. Blanketing, bathing and anything under saddle.

💯 He will take you over the river and through the woods to grandmas house and everywhere in between. Solo or with friends.

✅He is polite to his handlers, has patience and loves his grooming sessions!
