Tom is well known in the Twin Cities for being instrumental in building multifaith platforms that work for social justice. Stay tuned for more on Rev. Dr. Tom to come!

🦋Our fundraiser will feature testimonials and stories about how antiracism study and dialogue have transformed participants in the last twenty years of service to our community. You won't want to miss this!

✨Early giving for Give to the Max day has begun! ACT's dedication to the vision of a racially just society continues to be the beating heart of supporting individuals and organizations as they Learn, Reflect, and Transform on their antiracism journey.

✨And to make it happen, we need your support. Will you help us reach our goal of $5,000 during this 2024 season of GiveToTheMax?

✨In 2024 alone, ACT facilitated antiracism workshops for activists, organizers, healthcare professionals, educators, social workers, faith communities, and many more across sectors. ACT's programs continue to be noted for their depth of analysis, opportunity for dialogue and reflection, building of relationship and community, and lasting transformative change.

Still spots available for our virtual book group on the series Conversations & Actions in a Time of Peril!! Don't wait, register today!

Facism, nationalism and hatred are on the rise worldwide. Those of us in the US can no longer turn away and tell ourselves that it can’t happen here. It is, and fast. ASDIC/ACT invites you to join us for a winter book group focusing on understanding and countering these noxious ideologies. We will draw primarily from new works by Ice Temelkuran as well as the powerful and prophetic voices of those who are building a resistance movement here and abroad in these perilous times.

Our main text that we are asking folks to purchase/read is “ How to Lose a Country: The Seven Steps from Democracy to Dictatorship” by Ece Temelkuran.

Meeting times have been updated to three times in March.

There is still room to practice your skillful speech for addressing problematic race talk.... starting this coming Monday!

Register here: https://www.asdicircle.org/skillfulspeech

This workshop will address race and related beliefs by loosening racialized certainties, allowing alternative ways of seeing and knowing, and challenging participants to consider antiracist perspectives. It will also provide understanding and practice in skillful speech as a tool for unbinding racial certainty, deflecting and re-channeling hostile or defensive speech, and deepening reflective, critical thinking. The workshop will use readings, videos, practice and draw from the book "How Minds Change" by David McRaney.
