We are proud of our deputies! đź’™

💛Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that leave the biggest impact💛

Recently, two of our deputies stopped to assist a stranded motorist along Rt. 4 in Dunkirk, after a tire blowout. What could have been an overwhelming situation was made even more stressful with a young passenger in the car, a 7-year-old who was frightened and overwhelmed in the moment. Our deputies didn’t just change a tire, they brought calm to chaos when it was needed most. Thanks to their help, the family was able to safely get back on the road and make it to their appointment.

And in a moment that says everything about why this work matters… that little girl gave the deputies a big hug and said she wants to be a police officer when she grows up.

This is what service looks like. Not just protecting and serving, but showing up with empathy and heart when it matters most. Thank you DFC Claggett and DFC Morrison for making a difference, one act of kindness at a time.
