Today, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the founder of The Surviving Forward Foundation β€” Jasmine. πŸ’™

Jasmine recently graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a focus on Victim Advocacy, and she is now pursuing her Master’s Degree in Psychology - with a focus on Forensics - allowing her more knowledge and experience to fight against abuse and assault.

Today, Jasmine celebrates her virtual graduation ceremony β€” a moment that reflects not only academic achievement, but also her strength, resilience, and determination.

Jasmine herself is a survivor of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child human trafficking. Despite the trauma she endured, she has spent the last five years dedicating her life to helping others navigate their healing journeys, advocating for survivors, and being a voice for those who feel unheard.

She pours her heart and soul into this work and continues to create safe spaces, awareness, outreach, and support for survivors in our communities. Her passion for helping others comes from a place of deep understanding and lived experience.

Jasmine’s story is proof that trauma does not define a person’s future. Strength, healing, and purpose can rise from even the darkest circumstances.

Please join us in congratulating Jasmine on this incredible accomplishment and the impact she continues to make in the lives of others. πŸŽ“πŸ’™

CONGRATULATIONS, JASMINE! We are so proud of you and all you have accomplished. ✨

β˜€οΈ As the school year comes to an end and summer begins, it’s a great time for families to have important conversations about summer safety. πŸ’›

With more time spent at parks, pools, sleepovers, babysitters’ homes, and outside with friends, children may find themselves in situations that require extra awareness and communication.

Here are a few important reminders to discuss with your children:
β€’ Stranger safety at parks, pools, and public places
β€’ Safe and unsafe touches β€” even with familiar adults, babysitters, older kids, or family members
β€’ Boundaries and body autonomy
β€’ Safety while playing outside or staying home alone
β€’ Internet and social media safety during increased screen time
β€’ Knowing trusted adults they can talk to if something feels wrong
β€’ Encouraging children to trust their instincts and speak up

These conversations do not have to be scary β€” they can be empowering. Creating open, judgment-free communication helps children feel safer and more confident coming to you when they need help.

A few honest conversations today can make a lasting difference tomorrow. πŸ’™
