Dear beloved Missionaries. Please meet Franklin Adalid Martinez Martinez. He is twenty two years of age. He is from the Tolupan Tribe of San Juan, Francisco Morazán. He is married and he and his wife have a baby.
Two years ago, he had a terrible accident on a motorcycle and unfortunately, the doctors were forced to amputate his left leg. Someone had pity on him and donated him a prosthesis. The problem with him is that he has kept growing and he out grew the prosthesis. This has caused a serious problem on his hip that has damaged it to an extent that he now limps with lots of pain.
Franklin is the sole source of income in his household and when we visited him, we witnessed that he can no longer work on the small plot of land on a mountain side and he is now forced to sell ice cream and frozen bagged juice for pennies to be able to sustain the baby formula and diapers for his baby.
What he urgently needs is financial support to travel from his village to the Capital City of Honduras and resources pay at Casa David for his stay and go to the Baxter Institute where they will analyze what is the next step to fix or change his prosthetic leg at no cost.
Let us help this amazing family whose only dream is for their Dad to be able to walk again and provide for his loved ones.
If anyone feels in their heart to help him, please contact our UGOM state side coordinator.
