Our Vision

We believe it is never too late for an individual – especially a child – to be rescued and lovingly restored to a life filled with hope, purpose, and love. Our Talitha Cumi Hope Project Houses are intentionally designed to provide a long-term home as opposed to an opportunity to graduate from a program. Statistics show the majority of children who are victims of s*x trafficking, exploitation, or ritual abuse do not have safe homes and loving families to return to once they are rescued. Trauma specialists report that the time frame of just beginning to recover from this type of complex trauma takes a minimum of 4 to 5 years. The first Northern Arizona location will be the base model that provides a beautiful, serene setting offering a comprehensive, holistic approach unique to each child, which encompasses her physical, emotional, educational, psychological, and spiritual needs.

Our mission at For Their Tears – Hope Projects aims to address many of the issues expressed throughout our Business Plan by providing loving, community-based safe homes. The homes will be focused on creating a therapeutic and emotionally healing atmosphere for body, mind and spirit – for domestic or international s*xually exploited children between the ages of 3 and 18 years, and assist them in making successful transitions to healthier thriving circumstances.

The Vision includes providing: • HOPE: Our children experience a safe and supportive environment that is responsive to each child’s individual needs with integrated therapeutic support services. • A FUTURE: Services are designed to meet the child’s own aspirations for the future and fosters their ability to reach their potential and help them make positive decisions and healthy transitions. • A PLAN: This recovery process includes some or all of the following: love; discipleship/mentorship; physical and practical support; healing and trauma resolution; development of life-skills and social skills; education and skill attainment; building of trust; and coping with stigma and alienation.
