Broke to ride ✅ Working on finding out if she is indeed broke to drive. So far, it looks like it. She even lifted her tail for the crupper.

Birdie is worth her weight in gold x 1000. What a nice pony!

She’s been on a deworming schedule, will get trims every 6 weeks, and is getting an antibiotic ointment in her blind eye. It’s a little goopy. Vet said she doesn’t appear to have any pain associated with it but we will keep an eye (no pun intended) on it. At a healthy pace, she is gaining the little bit of weight she needed. Birdie got a trim today also. Just by looking at her hooves we knew she had foundered. Here is a couple of the trimmings that came off her toes. You can see where the laminae had been stretched within the hoof. On a normal hoof, the trimmings will have a very narrow compressed band.
