Powhatan Bassmasters participated in the BASS Nation of Virginia Youth State Championship last weekend at Buggs Island. Overall a competitive group of anglers. High school team of brothers, Parker and Garrett Smith, came in seventh in a field of over 60 boats! What a great way to end a season for all of our teams. This could not have been possible without the dedication of Jack and Karla who selflessly have long days and early mornings for the benefit of our youth anglers. The vision of Garrett Towler to start this Powhatan team is something our youth anglers will be forever grateful for.

Up next is a 6 man team tournament at the end of the month and a fun tournament where our skilled captains will finally get out of the drivers seat and be able to show off their skills with their anglers.
