Friends of Faith Pruden Foundation Remembering Faith by helping to make life a little easier for families of kids fighting cancer THE FRIENDS OF FAITH PRUDEN FOUNDATION has 3 main goals:
1.

Spread/Raise awareness for Childhood Cancer and the GOLD ribbon
2. Support patients and families of the pediatric oncology floor at Nationwide Children's Hospital
3. Provide funding for two higher education scholarships, the WESTERVILLE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION / FAITH PRUDEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This $2500 Scholarship will be award to a graduating Westerville senior who who will be attending a traditi

onal or non-traditional college studying cosmetology, the arts, culinary studies, or fire fighter schools. And the FAITH'S CANCER KIDS SCHOLARHSIP: This $1500 will be awarded to a Central Ohio senior who is battling cancer or considered cured and wants to experience college. FFPF also sponsors a permanent room at Ronald McDonald House of central Ohio.

Before we wish all mothers a happy Mother's Day, we'd like to take a moment to recognize the bereaved mothers who spent the day with us last Sunday.

Bereaved Mother's Day is observed on the first Sunday in May and it is a day to honor mothers who have experienced the loss of a child. Every year, we invite mothers who have lost a child to cancer to join us for a special brunch, and this year was no exception. We met at The Whitney House in Worthington and enjoyed a delicious meal together. Each mother was given a small gift, and we concluded the event by each releasing a monarch butterfly in memory of their children.

In addition to this event, we also delivered small bags filled with essentials to mothers spending Mother's Day at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

The children on the hospital's 12th floor received superhero-themed books and goodie bags in honor of National Super Hero Day on April 28th.

Recently were also able to assist several families with their bills, including utilities, cell phone and even a HVAC repair bill. We are grateful to Faith's friends, aka supporters for their generosity. We couldn’t do this with you! Thank you!

We are pleased to announce that the 2026 Strike Out Childhood Cancer event was a huge success. Some remarkable All⭐️Star kiddos who have fought or are still fighting cancer threw out the first pitches while the PA announcer shared their heart-touching and inspirational stories. These young heroes are true champions.

Westerville North softball team welcomed Olentangy, Gahanna, and New Albany, while the baseball team hosted Thomas Worthington. along with high school ballgames the event featured raffles, and a golf and fast pitch competitions for prizes.

This annual event not only raised crucial funds for FFPF families but also increased awareness about childhood cancer. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors and everyone who contributed to this success.

The best STRIKE OUT CHILDHOOD CANCER softball and baseball event is almost here. Join us at Westerville North High School for all the fun. Watch some real-life cancer fighting superheroes throw out the first pitch, see how fast you can pitch a ball 🥎 or drive 🏌️‍♂️ a marshmallow, meet Dr. Pixie Dust ✨& Dr. Sunflower🌻and watch some softball and baseball games!
