Our peace is not a luxury; it’s a strategy.

While the world often feels loud and uncertain, our BEL Chapters are built to be the proactive sanctuary that keeps us grounded. We don’t wait for a crisis to check in; we stay ready by staying connected.

With over 20 local chapters globally, BEL is our front line. These are the spaces where you don’t have to explain your identity or tone down your excellence. Whether it’s sharing resources for affirming healthcare or building professional legacies through BEL Elevate, your local chapter is where the work of self-preservation happens in real-time.

We are more than just a digital community. We are a global movement of physical spaces designed for our safety, our growth, and our joy. When we protect each other, we win.

Join the front line. Find your local chapter or learn how to start one in your area today.

Leadership shouldn’t feel like a battle for survival.

But for many Black women in leadership, the 'Push Out' is a lived reality. It’s the subtle exclusion. The systemic exhaustion. The feeling that your brilliance is treated as a threat rather than a gift.

At Black Educated Le****ns (BEL), we know that weight. We also know that you can’t pour from an empty cup: especially when that cup is being drained by environments that weren’t built for your success.

That’s why we intentionally serve as a sanctuary.

We don’t just train leaders; we protect and sustain them. BEL is a space to exhale. It’s a community where your mental health is a priority, not a luxury. We are building a movement that values your rest just as much as your impact. Because when we protect the leaders, we protect the legacy.

You are not here just to survive. You are here to lead with joy, supported by a sisterhood that understands exactly where you’ve been.

It’s never just a party.

When we talk about Black Pride, we aren't just talking about a celebration. We are talking about survival.

For many of us, these spaces are the only places where we can breathe without explanation. They are the sanctuaries where our intersectionality isn’t a debate, but a foundation.

But right now, our spaces are under threat.

Funding cuts are more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. They are an attempt to erase the progress we’ve fought for. They are a direct challenge to our visibility, our health equity, and our safety.

We refuse to be erased.

Black Educated Le****ns stands as a resilient sanctuary. We are here to ensure that when the world tries to quiet our voices, our community speaks louder.

We don't just exist; we thrive. We don't just survive; we lead.

The work of protecting our spaces is the work of protecting our lives. It requires intention. It requires action. It requires you.

Our movement isn’t funded by chance; it’s fueled by community commitment.

Stand with us. Protect the sanctuary.

What are you still carrying that isn’t yours to hold?

Many of us in our community have spent years packing away generational weight, silent expectations, and patterns that were never meant for us. As we prepare for Pride Month, we’re asking the hard questions about what we’re bringing into this season: and what we’re finally ready to set down.

Next month, we are gathering for "Bag Lady: Breaking Generational Patterns & Reclaiming Our Healing." This virtual panel is a dedicated space for Black le****ns to talk about the baggage we’ve inherited and how we can move toward true, collective reclamation.

We aren’t just celebrating this June; we are healing.

Mark your calendars for our June session. Stay tuned for registration details and the full panel reveal.

And so this begins: Sending emails to potential sponsors for the 3rd Annual BEL Conference. I should be use to this since it’s my 3rd year but the anxiety is still there. One of the many things offered at last weekends Spring into Health Fair was the Associated Credit Union offering FREE accounts. Having a credit union account is much better than a traditional bank account. Thank you to for your support and grateful to be a new member.
