The judge in our case against the negligent driver states he could not find any case in any jurisdiction where a charge similar to Vermont’s “gross negligence with fatality resulting” was substantiated. There was one case

involving a motorcycle fatality he could cite, specifically a biker killed by an at-fault left turn driver, and the one, yes ONE, case in all jurisdictions in this country that the judge found was from 1987 in PA. In that case the higher charge of gross negligence was unsubstantiated; however, it was more about the defendant’s rights to challenge his conviction and sentence than it was about the biker who died at his hands….didn’t see him……that is why I need your stories, your experiences, your losses, and your victories (just try to keep it pg-13) and your shares…share the page invite your friends, be outraged that so many have died and so many have gotten away with murder.

I am staring at this picture on my laptop lost in my thoughts and then I see in the far right corner of this picture just how far down the road through the intersection one can really see.
