🐫HAPPY HUMP DAY🐫

🩷This past Sunday my brother Adam Klinger, Emma Melochick, and I delivered over three hundred pipe cleaner lilies to residents of four nursing homes! We absolutely loved seeing the smiles and happy faces that came with handing them out🩷

The four facilities included:✨✨✨

Seton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Green Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Luther Ridge at Seiders Hill

St. Luke’s Hospital - Miners Campus Coaldale Nursing and Rehabilitation Unit

🩷Another successful event at Church of Broken Pieces Minersville 🩷

💫This morning my brother and I had the privilege to teach these youngsters how to make two different kinds of Pipecleaner flowers! The boys liked the small begonia style and the girls took to the lily’s!💫

🌺We had a great time and everyone enjoyed themselves… the girls have me on a mission to try something new… they want to learn hibiscus flowers next!🌺

✨The kiddos chose to donate their flowers to individuals to those who may feel forgotten. I can promise the compassion this group shows is going to take them far in life. Spreading love and hope is the goal, always..✨

🌸I would like to thank Madeline for reaching out to me about collaborating on an event! Her and I met during Greater Pottsville Winter Carnival 2024 and we have been friends ever since! I am so grateful to have made a relationship with someone who has such a heart for giving back to the community!🌸

🫶🏼Thank you Palermos for allowing us to use your space for our event! We had a wonderful time and a great meal!🫶🏼

Save the date! Join us for our upcoming meeting on Tuesday, May 19th, as we welcome Adopt A Pop for a special presentation and hands-on service project. Members will have the opportunity to learn how to make pipe cleaner flowers to donate to local elderly residents. 🌼💛

Adopt A Pop is a community service initiative based in Schuylkill County, PA, where young people create heartfelt cards and crafts to brighten the days of elderly residents in hospitals and care homes throughout our community. We encourage all our Pottsville Kiwanis members to join us for this meaningful and fun evening of service!

Happy Monday Adopt A Pop-ers!!!! 🌸💖🌺

✨Today I would like to share a picture with one of my favorite residents I made a relationship with during my Pop’s time in a Schuylkill County nursing home. Her and I are not related, but we are bonded by heart and personality. We both love mystery books, spending time in the sun, and the color pink! 🎀 She is just one of the wonderful people looking forward to the spring Adopt A Pop event!!✨

🫶🏼In the mean time, look into how you can donate your time to a nursing home and make a friend. Spending 20 minutes with someone can help shape the life of a resident in need of company. The human being craves connection! Be the connection!🫶🏼

💛Weekend Fun💛

🎀I would like first and foremost thank Ms. Sponenburg from the Pottsville Area High School. She is one of the advisors from the Aevidum Club and relayed the contacts of three lovely club members, Addison Vigoda, Kyleaha Moore, and Avayah Barlow that were interested in donating their time to Adopt A Pop. These three girls, along with my brother, Kaylee King, and Emma Melochick, helped make over 50 pipecleaner flowers!🎀

🌸Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a deep appreciation for those who participate in Aevidum Club. Mental health and community is a big part of supporting our youth. Always be kind because you have no idea what someone else may be going through🌸
