This is being offered at Le Flore County 911 on June 8th. This is a great course that teaches the difference between frequencies, channels, repeaters, and radios. Covers the basics of radio communication. Goes deeper than just pressing the buttons and talking on a radio.

Update: A bus shuttle has been set up for this location.
Any Fire Department agencies wishing to show support for Deputy Walker at the funeral services tomorrow in Heavener please line up in this area at Blues Park just south of the Hwy 128 Junction. Do to limited parking at the gym and the size of fire apparatuses we are asking that you park here. The funeral will be held at the Heavener Gym. Burial will be in the Muse Cemetery with honors by the Tulsa and OKC Police Honor Guard under the direction and care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener, Oklahoma. If you so choose you may join the procession south on 59 from that location. If you wish to attend the funeral you will need to work out shuttle between Blues Park and the gym. This Saturday the LCFA hosted a training at the Harrell Bright Regional Training Center. We had classes covering Wildland Tactics, Vent Enter Isolate Search, Forcible Entry, Officer Training, and Pump Operations. Over 44 students participated from 14 agencies. We are incredibly grateful for the participation and work that everyone put in to make this happen. Special thanks to our trainers: BJ Barnes, Matt Smith, Todd Akins, Brady Fox, Tim Skinner, Sean Nichols and his team from Choctaw Nation Forestry Program, Marcus Floyd, Joe Wiles, Tony Riley, and John Ford.

Tomorrow's training will start at 8am. Please bring full bunker gear and scba if you have signed up for live burn or VEIS. You will also need full PPE for extrication and forcible entry. Hydrate tonight and get ready to have some fun.
