*Slide your hand up to the chest once you've grabbed the BASE of the tail
*Move dead opossums and whatever an opossum might've been scavenging FAR AWAY from the side of the road. Don't just leave it on the roadside. Or else other scavengers might end up being run over anyway.

No opossum-related Halloween content I'm afraid, but I've made a scary poster about an existential threat to moose: BRAINWORMS.

Originally a deer parasite, it is spread via the infected individual's stool, picked up by a slug or snail, and eaten by another individual. At some point, global warming and other anthropogenic factors pushed deer into moose territory, which essentially caused a virgin-land epidemic amongst that species.
