Portsmouth was filled with sunshine and MAGIC this weekend. Congrats to our 4 Scavenger Hunt winners, our 11 Artist Invitational fairy house entries, our 200+ kid-made fairy houses, our 80 volunteers, our 2 food trucks and the thousands of Seacoast families who came to enjoy face-painting, balloon art, clowning, magic, stilt-walking, crafts, music and storytelling at the 2025 Fairy House Tour. The Friends of the South End are proud to keep the tradition of supporting local schools and non-profits with this annual event. Keep making magic!

Who doesn't love a parade? Everyone is welcome to put on your wings & gnome hats or decorate your stroller or wagon. The Fairy House Tour opening costume parade starts on Sat. Sept. 20 at 9:30am at Langdon House entrance (off Pleasant St) and ends at the Compass Realty Stage in Strawbery Banke. All paraders will be treated to a special performance by Bob Lloyd, Magician & Juggler at 10am. Prizes to be awarded for BEST costume.
