MAKIBAKA HUWAG MATAKOT! DARE TO STRUGGLE, DO NOT BE AFRAID! 🇵🇭🇵🇸
⚡️As a youth organization fighting for a genuinely free & democratic Philippines, we stand in firm solidarity with the student activists who have been wrongfully suspended based on their pro-palestinian organizing efforts on Lewis & Clark College campus. As youth and students who join the struggle for National Democracy in the Philippines, we also face heightened state oppression and red tagging for our organizing efforts. But that fuels our revolutionary spirit even further. Throughout Philippine history, student power has greatly contributed to the building of a progressive future, particularly linking with the workers and peasants and to oust former dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr!
💥The repression faced by student activists in the Philippines, at Lewis & Clark, and all over the world gives further reason why we as the youth need to RISE UP in the face of injustice and fascist attacks on our people. It is our task to connect our struggles to our broader community, and it is only through linking with the masses of people can the youth create genuine change, and topple the current rotten system!
📢We call on the greater Portland community to support student activists on campus who are taking action to demand that the L&C administration reverse the suspension of the two student activists and allow them to return to campus and enroll in the Spring 2026 semester!!
🌟As Filipino youth abroad in the US and in the Philippines, we recognize that we must be fighting alongside the Palestinian people because a win for Palestine is a step closer to the liberation of oppressed nations all over the world. We must continue to take action together in the Portland community, build international solidarity with the Palestinian people fighting for sovereignty, and fulfill the task of the youth in revolutionary change!
