The Student Alliance for Integrative Medicine (SAIM) is a student-governed organization in Portland, Oregon that is comprised of students from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Pacific University (PU), and the University of Western States (UWS). We are an affiliate of the Oregon Collaborative o

f Integrative Medicine (OCIM), and are comprised of students from all OCIM institutions. The mission of SAIM is to foster collaboration among students of the aforementioned institutions in order to deepen awareness of the contributions of all medical healthcare professions for the purpose of promoting health and optimizing patient care. It is the vision of SAIM to be on the forefront of the future of healthcare by integrating practice and communication between healthcare professional students across the healthcare continuum. Furthermore, SAIM aims to increase student understanding of the strengths and contributions of all health professions to cultivate a culture of patient-centered healing and care.
