It’s that time again.
Our take and bake boxes got great feedback last year, so we are doing more this year. We are starting with 15 free boxes and 15 sliding scale boxes, we don’t want to over promise how much the two of us can do and afford. HOWEVER if we get food and monetary donations, and a handful of volunteers-we will bring these numbers up!!
We want to take a moment to acknowledge the huge variety of ways that individuals are effected by the holiday season, and the systemic issues around a day that at best ignores the genocide of the people who belong to this land-and at worst celebrates it.
We bring folks together through food-and we will continue to do so. If you want to help us get more food to people please consider volunteering, donating food (specific lists coming tomorrow), or sponsoring a food box for a family with a $50 donation or full priced purchase.
Free boxes go VERY fast, so be ready to text in your order at 10am on November 1st to get on the list! We will start a waitlist as soon as our number is reached and do our best to get as many boxes as possible to folks. We will also be hosting a completely free community meal on November 26th at the restaurant.
When you text your orders please include box size, vegan or vegetarian preferences, and dietary restrictions (we will do our best), and preferred pick-up day and time (Monday 11/23, Tuesday 11/24, or Wednesday 11/25 between 3pm and 9pm). We will respond with confirmation and any follow up questions.
