I’m excited to officially launch the Patreon for the Fiddle Legacy Foundation.
This project was created to help preserve and share the history of Texas-style fiddling and the musicians, recordings, stories, and traditions that shaped it.
Over the years, I’ve realized just how much important fiddle history is sitting on VHS tapes, cassette recordings, home videos, lesson tapes, photographs, and personal archives that could easily disappear with time if nobody steps in to preserve them.
Through this Patreon, I’ll be sharing:
• Rare and unreleased fiddle recordings
• Unedited Fiddle Legends podcast interviews
• Historical contest footage
• Archival discoveries
• Behind-the-scenes digitization and restoration work
• Exclusive content and early access releases
We’ve already begun digitizing a newly donated archive collection that includes rare lesson tapes and historical recordings, including footage from Jerry Thomasson.
