The GSWS 2017 will be hosted in Portland, Oregon, over the week of September 4-10, 2017. With over 220 softball teams from 43 cities across North America - from Toronto to Tampa and Columbus to Denver - the GSWS is the worlds largest annual GLBT sporting event. Over 4000 athletes will converge on Portland for one great week of incredible softball and recreation. Events will be held nightly includ
ing the Hall of fame dinner at the Nike Tiger Woods Center (Sept. 5); Charity event at the DoubleTree by Hilton Portland (Sept. 6), Miss and Mr. Gay World Series Pageant at Embers (Sept. 7), Semi-Finals Series Games at Delta Park Complex and the Portland Spirit River Cruise (Sept. 8) and on Saturday, Sept. 9, the Closing Ceremonies Block Party at CC Slaughters and Fox and Hounds bars. In addition to hosting the World Series, Portland will also host the annual meetings of NAGAAA ( North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance) business meetings on January 27-29, 2017, and again in September 1-3, 2017, prior to the World Series.
