Yesterday, we focused on the Kenton neighborhood, N. Argyle, N. Fenwick, Denver, Interstate Ave., Paul Statue Plaza, and Columbia neighborhoods picking up trash and handing out sack lunches and water.

Today we handed out sack lunches and bottles of water. We cruised around the Cathedral, St. John's and Portsmouth neighborhoods this morning. We collected some discarded rubbish and handed out cold clothes.

The temps over the next 3 days--Tue, Wed, Thurs--will be in the 90’s and we are ready set and going to be handing out cold water to help beat back the heat. Our partners at the county make this possible ever time the temps rise high. So we will be looking for you and if you see us flag us.

We want to thank our supporters and partner organizations that answered the call: small non-profit organizations helping other small non-profits. This proves that the work we do is important and valuable. We make an impact that can be seen and heard across our communities.
Thank you GAP and our community. Our shelves are slowly filling back up, and we thank you for that, but as quickly as they fill, they empty. Food scarcity is real, and no one is immune to it. In saying that we are here to help. If we don’t know about it, we can’t help to do anything about it. On the other side of that, if you don’t know about us you won’t be able to ask for the help. If you see this post, please spread it around through your personal/professional and social networks to alert people and families that help is out there.

Hey Friends and Supporters, today has been busy for our volunteer drivers and our pantry organizers. Today we helped 12 families meet their grocery needs. That brings our 2 day total to 27 families who did not go without food because of YOU our supporters. We are thankful to be able to fill a need when we see a need.
There has been an increase in food insecurity and we are so thankful that the word is spreading about our organization. However, our shelves are emptying and that makes it difficult to serve those in need. Our organization is 80% supported by our community. We need your help to restock our shelves so we can continue to serve those in need.

Today we had 15 requests for groceries in one day. This is up from the average of 5 daily. This is cause for great concern. People are struggling to meet a basic need. We want to say from the top of our grocery bags to the bottom of our hearts, Thank You!! We could never have done any of this without the support, volunteering, or donating to the cause.
