Hi everyone!

We recently received a donation of fresh produce, salads, and pantry items that we would love to get into the hands of local families this weekend. We're looking for a church, school, business, or organization that would be willing to let us use a parking lot or outdoor space for a few hours to host a free food distribution.

We can provide our own tables, canopy, volunteers, and cleanup. We just need a safe, accessible location where families can easily stop by. If you know of a location or have a contact who might be willing to help, please comment below or send us a message. We'd greatly appreciate any leads.

Just a quick little update to let everyone know we have updated our volunteer form!

Please note: you do NOT have to fill out another form if you've submitted one in the past, however, we have added an option for those of you who may be interested in a more hands on role with the project. This includes things like program development/improvement, partner & community coordination, community partner outreach, and providing general input & support.

We know there haven't been very many volunteer opportunities in recent months, so this is a chance to get involved on a deeper level while we set the scene for what's to come.

Hi all! We know not everyone prefers to donate money, so we’ve put together an Amazon shopping list with items we regularly use for our food and hygiene kits.

If you’d like to support in a different way, you can purchase items directly from the list and have them sent to us. These items go straight into the bags we distribute to local families and unhoused neighbors, so every contribution makes a difference.

Hey everyone! We need a little community help.

We're working to spread the word about our fundraiser that will help us help the community! All donated funds will be going towards groceries for families in need, as well as putting together some food/snack & hygiene/period kits for Porterville's local unhoused community.

We’ll be putting up flyers around town this weekend, so if anyone wants to help out by also putting up some flyers up around town or in their neighborhood, we’d really appreciate it.

Here is our most recent fundraiser. Everything donated to this fund will help us do things like create and distribute care packages to local families, as well as our local unhoused community members.

Spent the weekend putting some hygiene + period kits together for our local unhoused folk. Later this week, we'll also be putting together some bags of ready-to-eat food, snacks, and other goodies to nourish, as well as (hopefully) provide some comfort. ♥️

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays from The Porterville Pantry Project!

Here is our winter newsletter with just a few updates on what we've been up to the last couple of months. It's been a busy fall going into winter, but we're still brainstorming what else we can do for the community while we find somewhere to place the pantry. We have a few ideas, so stay tuned to find out what's next.

As always, thank you for all the support. Thanks to you our first major event was a success and we were able to distribute food to families all over town - we can't wait to be able to do something like this again, and we are working hard to do so.
