The New York State Office of Mental Health and Department of Health are hosting in-person and virtual meetings to gather recommendations to improve mental health services for children. The focus of these meetings is to hear directly from families, youth, providers, stakeholders and anyone who supports mental health services for young people. People with experience in the foster care system are encouraged to attend!

Submit your application for future consideration today! 🌟

Pillars of Promise Children’s Services, Inc. is accepting applications from compassionate, dependable, and mission-driven individuals who truly care about making a difference in the lives of young people.

We welcome interest from residential child care and youth support professionals, life skills staff, nurses, mental health and social work professionals, administrative and operations staff, and others who believe their experience and talents could contribute to our mission.

We are interested in applicants seeking full-time, part-time, per-diem, evening, overnight, weekend, holiday, and on-call opportunities. Availability and scheduling needs will vary by position.

Different roles may require different education, experience, or professional credentials, but every person joining Pillars must have heart, genuinely care about the youth we serve, and believe in our mission.

Everyone is encouraged to apply. Experience matters, but heart is essential.

Long Island Coalition for the Homeless is once again collecting donations for the annual Scott Martella Supply Our Students Drive. Donations will be distributed to campers at Backpack Pirates, a one day summer camp for children living in shelters right here on Long Island.

Donations can be purchased via Amazon wish list at https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2JEIJS0U4HY33?ref_=wl_share, or dropped off at 600 Albany Ave, Amityville, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
