**Even the best fishing spots need a little time to recover. 🎣**

Unfortunately, Eagle 6 Adventures is temporarily pausing our fishing trips due to funding challenges.

We've had an incredible year helping veterans and their families reconnect, find peace, and make memories on the water. But boats don't run on good intentions, and fuel, bait, and maintenance aren't getting any cheaper!

This isn't goodbye. We're simply taking a break until we have the resources to operate sustainably.

To everyone who has supported us, donated, volunteered, or trusted us with a day on the water—thank you.

I’m looking for businesses, organizations, civic groups, foundations, or individuals who might align with the mission of Eagle 6 Adventures.

I’m not necessarily asking you personally for a donation. I’m asking if you know someone I should talk to.

Maybe it’s a local business that supports Veterans.

Maybe it’s a company looking for a meaningful nonprofit partner.

Maybe it’s a fishing, boating, outdoor, healthcare, construction, financial, or community organization.

Or maybe you simply know someone who would believe in what we’re doing.

If anyone comes to mind, I would really appreciate an introduction or a name I can reach out to.

Support helps us cover fuel, bait, tackle, boat maintenance, and the other costs required to keep these trips completely free for the Veterans and families we serve.

Businesses can sponsor a trip, help with operating costs, donate products or services, or simply help spread the word.

Sometimes the most valuable thing someone can do is make the right connection.

We’re a veteran-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Southwest Florida providing free inshore fishing and water experiences for Veterans, First Responders, Gold Star families, and their loved ones.

I retired from the Army after 34 years, and I started Eagle 6 Adventures because I know firsthand how important connection can be when someone is struggling.

Our motto is “No Veteran Fishes Alone.”

Today was a pretty good reminder of what Eagle 6 Adventures is really about.

Yes, we caught fish. A lot of them. And there were some pretty good ones in the mix!

But fishing is only the activity. Connection is the purpose.

When we invite a Veteran or First Responder out with Eagle 6 Adventures, we encourage them to bring the people who matter to them. A spouse. A son or daughter. A parent. A friend.

Because service doesn’t happen in isolation, and neither does life afterward. Families serve in their own way, too.

Today we got to watch a family spend a day together on Charlotte Harbor — catching fish, laughing, making memories and watching a young fisherman tackle a redfish that looked almost as big as he was. 😂

Those are the days we want to create.

Eagle 6 Adventures provides these experiences completely free of charge to Veterans, First Responders, Gold Star families and their loved ones. We provide the boat, fuel, tackle, bait and everything needed for a day on the water.

We’re not trying to run as many people through the boat as possible.

We’re trying to create a place where people can slow down, reconnect and know that somebody gives a damn.

I figured I’d try something a little different and just tell you who I am and why I started Low Key Living.

I retired from the Army after 34 years of service. After retiring, I started Eagle 6 Adventures, a nonprofit that gets Veterans, First Responders, Gold Star families, and their loved ones out on the water at no cost to them.

The idea behind it is pretty simple:

No Veteran Fishes Alone.

I know firsthand how important it can be to get out of the house, get around other people, and sometimes just spend a few hours on the water.

But putting these trips together costs money. There’s fuel, bait, tackle, boat maintenance and all the other expenses that come with keeping a boat on the water.

I didn’t want Eagle 6 Adventures to depend entirely on asking people for donations, so I decided to try something different.

I started Low Key Living Apparel.

It’s a small coastal apparel brand based around the things I love—fishing, boating, the Florida lifestyle, and slowing down enough to enjoy it.

And it has a purpose.

Every shirt sold helps fund Eagle 6 Adventures and helps put another Veteran on the water.

So I’m not asking you for a donation.

I’m just asking you to take a couple of minutes and check out what I’ve created.

If you see something you like, great. If you don’t, maybe share it with somebody who loves fishing, boating, or the coastal lifestyle.
