Glaze a bowl on Nov. 14 and see it on the table at Mistletoe Empty Bowls on Dec. 5. Fun for all ages, no experience needed, and it all supports Vincentian CARES.

Rest in peace, Bishop Dewane. His love and his leadership will be missed.

Vincentian CARES joins the Diocese of Venice in mourning the passing of Bishop Emeritus Frank J. Dewane, who passed away yesterday.

Bishop Dewane was a staunch advocate for people in need. Through Catholic Charities and other partnerships, he helped bring nearly 500 affordable housing units in Sarasota, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Port Charlotte, Immokalee, and Arcadia, many of them for families, low-income seniors, and farmworkers.

We give thanks for Bishop Dewane's life, service, and leadership. We pray for the repose of his soul and for comfort for his family and friends. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.

We're less than two months away from Mistletoe Empty Bowls at Charlotte Sports Park! Before the big event, though, we're holding a bowl-glazing day with Visual Arts Center of Punta Gorda. We hope you can make it to one or both of these events!

United Way Charlotte County's Day of Service is approaching and we need YOUR help! Please consider volunteering on Thurs. Oct. 1 to help paint our dining hall, pantry and main lobby. Help us create a welcoming and cohesive environment for the individuals and families we serve by repainting key interior spaces within our facility.

Ideally this project involves painting the walls of dining hall, pantry hallway, and front administrative lobby.

Skills: Painting, lifting & moving items and equipment. Use of ladder.

🥪Water/Snacks & Lunch Provided.

Volunteers: Wear close-toed shoes & painting clothes. Can bring rags, gloves, drop cloths, etc.

While a donation of paint and painting supplies would be greatly appreciated, the organization is prepared to provide these materials if needed.

CCC has been busy! In celebration of National Volunteer Week last week, we hosted a volunteer appreciation luncheon. We want to give a HUGE SHOUT-OUT to our incredible volunteers! We couldn't serve the community without your hard work and heart. Thank you for making a difference every single day! Volunteers enjoyed a wonderful salad, homemade lasagna and cheesecake compliments of Chef Brian. Last week we also introduced our new Executive Chef Anthony who joins CCC with over 40 years of culinary expertise. Welcome to the team, Anthony!
