Our Charlotte Elder Affairs Network is a “coalition” whose membership consists of public and private health, human and social service organizations and others concerned with elder issues.

2026 BOARD SPOTLIGHT-JENNIFER NEUMAN- SECRETARY

Jennifer Neuman is a Professional Relations Liaison with Tidewell Hospice/Empath Health, where she works to connect patients and families with compassionate end-of-life care and supportive resources. Her path into hospice care was shaped by a personal experience with her mother’s hospice journey in Ohio, which inspired her commitment to ensure patients and families receive the education, support, and advocacy they deserve when facing end-of-life decisions.

She holds a degree in Human Services and spent 24 years working as a case manager serving children and families. Throughout her career, Jennifer has been a resource connector and a tireless advocate for vulnerable populations, helping individuals access the services and support systems they need to thrive. Her guiding mission is simple but powerful: to serve those most vulnerable and to ensure no one ever hears the words, “There is nothing I can do for you.”

Jennifer is deeply engaged in her community and serves on the boards of OCEAN, Meals on Wheels, and The Douglas T. Jacobson Veteran’s Home Residents Fund.

Originally from Ohio, Jennifer moved to Florida in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys boating, reading, and spending time at the beach.

MEET 2026 BOARD MEMBER-DARCY MASSOLIO-WOODS-PRESIDENT!
Darcy was born and raised in Charlotte County. She has been the President of OCEAN since 2020 where she saved the organization from shutting down with the help of others. She is the current President of OCEAN, President of Meals on Wheels of Charlotte County, President and State Director of USKA Florida and President of Port Charlotte LIttle League. She is 2016 Leadership Charlotte Graduate and 2019 Leadership Englewood Graduate. She was the 2019 LCBW Women of the Year and the receipient of the 2022 OCEAN Sunflower Award.
She has worked in WrightWay Emergency Services Marketing Department for 4 1/2 years and has managed the 24TwentyOne Event Center for 15 years.
She is married and has a 22 year old son, DJ., who was a 3rd generation Tarpon.
She is passionate on helping make Charlotte County a better place to live, work and play. We appreciate all she does.

MEET 2026 BOARD MEMBER-KIM SPENCER-GREETER!

Kim is a highly experienced sales professional in the assisted living community sector. She has worked with seniors for 30 years and has much compassion and empathy with them
Kim is very involved with her community. She served on the Florida Gulf Coast chapter Alzheimer’s Association for 10 years, a member of the Charlotte County veterans Council, has been with the Charlotte Harbor Sunset Rotary for three years. Kim is a member of the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce, the Northport Chamber and the Venice Chamber of commerce. She is the cofounder and vice president of helping hearts for heroes a nonprofit group supporting our veterans in our local communities. Kim joined ocean 29 years ago and has served many capacities from
Greeter, secretary and president.
Chemist, dedicated to her seniors, veterans and community. Thanks Kim for all you do.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT-JIM COCHRAN-PORT CHARLOTTE GLOBAL METHODIST CHURCH
Jim was born in Michigan, but lived in Kentucky and Virginia before moving to Port Charlotte in 2003. Currently he serves as the Congregational Care and Senior Ministry Pastor at Port Charlotte Global Methodist Church. His wife and him have been married for nearly 49 years, have two daughters and seven grandchildren.

MEET 2026 BOARD MEMBER-VALERIE TIFFANY-MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR!
Valerie Tiffany, Certified Senior Advisor® and Senior Partner of Above & Beyond Senior Placement, LLC, continues to play a vital role in strengthening senior care resources throughout Charlotte County.
Motivated by a personal family experience with dementia, Valerie has made it her mission to advocate for seniors and guide families through one of life’s most important transitions. Through Above & Beyond Senior Placement, she has helped countless families navigate Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care options—ensuring seniors find not just a residence, but a safe and supportive community where they can thrive.
Her impact extends well beyond placements. Valerie is an active community leader dedicated to improving the lives of seniors at every level. She serves on the board of Meals on Wheels of Charlotte County, helping address food insecurity among older adults. Through her involvement with the Charlotte County Elder Affairs Network, she collaborates with fellow professionals to strengthen local senior resources and services. As a Charlotte County Chamber Ambassador, she supports economic growth and community partnerships that benefit families across the region.
In addition, Valerie volunteers her time through the Hospital Ministry and Guest Experience Teams at New Day Christian Church in Port Charlotte, where she also co-leads a small group—further demonstrating her heart for service and connection.
With more than 25 years of prior experience in hospitality, Valerie brings a strong foundation of service excellence, leadership, and compassion to her work. Together with her husband of 37 years, Larry, she remains committed to a simple but powerful mission: to always do the right thing for seniors and their families and to honor those who once took care of us.
Through advocacy, leadership, and hands-on service, Valerie Tiffany continues to leave a lasting impact on the Charlotte County community. Thanks Valerie for all you do!

MEET 2026 BOARD MEMBER-TY WALTERS-WEB DEVELOPER AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Ty Walters, Business Development professional at Comfort Keepers of Fort Myers and Web Master for OCEAN, understands the challenges families face when trying to balance compassionate care with practical needs. His mission is to guide families through the complexities of in-home care, helping them explore options that allow seniors to remain safely and comfortably at home.

With Ty's guidance, families gain peace of mind knowing their loved ones are supported by compassionate, professional caregivers, allowing seniors to maintain independence and quality of life at home.

Ty is driven by a lifelong goal to make a positive impact. Ty graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2022 where he attained a Bachelor of Science along with a Marketing Minor that concentrated on Brand Development and Social Media Analytics. After a shoulder injury ended his baseball career, he redirected that passion into founding Empathy Clothing, a mental health focused brand he still runs independently. He also enjoys living the Florida lifestyle whether it be exploring beach towns or collecting shells on Sanibel Island.

MEET 2026 BOARD MEMBER- ROSA BENGHTT-GREETER!

Rosa Benghtt is a Honduran-born entrepreneur and Owner/Administrator of Granny Nannies of Charlotte County, serving families since 2008. With a background in healthcare as a CNA and Patient Care Technician in New York and Florida, Rosa built her business on compassion, hands-on experience, and a deep commitment to serving others.

After caring for her own mother, she recognized the growing need for quality, affordable in-home senior care and took the entrepreneurial leap into franchise ownership. Today, she leads a dedicated team of caregivers providing trusted non-medical home care services throughout Charlotte and DeSoto Counties, serving seniors and children with special needs.

Beyond her business, Rosa is deeply involved in the community. She has served on various Boards of Directors and actively volunteers with local nonprofits. She currently serves as Secretary of the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce and participates as a Board of Directors of OCEAN, among others.

Rosa believes in giving back to the community she calls home and is passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of families she serves. Her mission is simple: “A Helping Hand and a Gentle Heart.”

MEET 2026 BOARD MEMBER-Gail McKee- GREETER
Gail McKee is a local Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Sunstar Realty, based in Port Charlotte who is deeply committed to serving her community. In addition to her work in real estate, she subcontracts with H.O.P.E. (Hopeful Opportunities for Everyone) in North Port, where she supports individuals with disabilities in finding, securing, and maintaining competitive employment within the community.

With more than 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Gail has developed and implemented numerous programs serving diverse populations, with a particular focus working in the mental health field, with seniors, and individuals with disabilities. She is passionate about helping people achieve satisfaction, success, and independence, and takes pride in seeing individuals flourish both personally and professionally.

Gail is an active member of the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce, North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Charlotte Harbor Sunset, American Legion Post #110 Ladies Auxiliary, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1693-777 Ladies Auxiliary, and serves as a board member on OCEAN. She also maintains a community garden plot at the Family Service Center in Port Charlotte.

Originally from rural Western New York, Gail relocated to Florida in October 2021. In her free time she enjoys exploring the Sunshine State.

With 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, Christina Simonyi is a trusted financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. Dedicated to helping individuals, families, and small businesses plan with confidence and clarity. Her approach is rooted in long-term relationships, thoughtful guidance, and a genuine commitment to doing what’s right for her clients.

Beyond the office, Christina is actively involved in Rotary and regularly volunteers with local nonprofits, including O.C.E.A.N., the Senior Friendship Center, and Reading Buddies. Giving back to the community is a core value and an important part of her personal and professional life.

Through both her professional career and volunteer efforts, Christina believes lasting impact comes from service, integrity, and a people-first mindset.
