FILM HIGHLIGHT: FLOW VISION (TOUR EDIT)
2025 | France | 8 min
There is something that has always excited Ambroise in Downhill Skateboarding: it’s those moments you experience two or three times in a season or even in your life. He has only experienced this a few times in his life while skating, so he decided to skate the most challenging road in Europe to immerse himself in this mental state — the flow state.

Want to see it on the big screen? Join us next month! Check out the full 2026 lineup, film descriptions, and get your ONE DAY or TWO DAY passes here >> https://bit.ly/4alRGov

DUANE BETTS IS JUST 2 DAYS AWAY!

We’re only two days out from a one-night-only show with Duane Betts, acclaimed guitarist, songwriter, and son of Allman Brothers Band legend Dickey Betts.

Join us this Wednesday for an evening of Southern rock and guitar-driven music as Duane takes the stage with his talented band, Palmetto Motel. Expect a set that draws from the rich musical legacy of the Allman Brothers while showcasing Betts’ own sound and songwriting.

The summer finale concludes with a tempestuous trio of great works, featuring the one-and-only Jeremy Denk in concert with the Takács Quartet. When asked to describe his Sonata in D minor, Beethoven’s reply was characteristically cryptic. “Go and read Shakespeare’s Tempest.” We continue this stormy journey with composer-in-residence Gabriela Lena Frank's String Quartet Quijotadas and César Franck’s Piano Quintet.

Program:
Gabriela Lena Frank | Quijotadas (2007)
Ludwig Van Beethoven | Piano Sonata in D minor, Op 31 No 2 “The Tempest” (1802)
César Franck | Piano Quintet in F minor (1879)

Jeremy Denk, piano

Takács Quartet
Edward Dusinberre, violin
Harumi Rhodes, violin
Richard O’Neill, viola
Mihai Ma**ca, cello

Opening night for our current exhibit, Everyone Deserves to Be Seen, was a wonderful evening of art, connection, and community! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the remarkable work of Steve Raber and Joyce Nadig.

EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE SEEN is now on view through October 24 in the Laura Cooksey Gallery at Field Hall.

This shared exhibition brings together Steve Raber’s photography and Joyce Nadig’s clothing designs from 1982–1987. Raber’s photographs capture intimate moments and bold expressions of character in the straight and q***r bars of mid-1980s Los Angeles, while Nadig’s clothing reflects a thoughtful approach to fabric, silhouette, and design.

The exhibition also offers a special connection to Port Angeles. Raber and Nadig grew up together and graduated from Port Angeles High School with the class of 1971.

The Laura Cooksey Gallery is open Monday–Saturday, 10 AM–2 PM, as well as one hour before most events. Private group tours are available by appointment at [email protected].
