Sunday, May 31, 2026 Destination Unknown.

We went to Sparetimes Bowling Alley in Hampton. As we finish up the school year it was a good time to discuss Proverbs 4 in particular verses 20-27. Summer can often bring extra free time and choices. We are reminded to get in scripture and focus on God and keep our feet in His path.

“My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”

What a blessing. On Sunday, the youth group helped bake cookies for the shelter.

Then last night, our church had the privilege of serving dinner (and cookies) at the PORT winter shelter hosted by Denbeigh Presbyterian Church. Everyone's hard work paid off, and we're grateful for their efforts. THANK YOU! We're looking forward to the next time.

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas spent with friends and family!
Attached are calendars for youth events through April 2026. Please let me know if you will be attending meeting and events. I am creating Facebook events for each meeting and event. Thank you, that helps with planning lessons, food, and transportation when needed!

Tabernacle’s own Catching Fire band joined together with the youth group
to worship and praise God with the residents of Dominion Village At Poquoson.
We also delivered handmade cards created by the youth and children along with a little sweet treat for them to enjoy.

Good evening Tabernacle UMC Youth Families. We are monitoring the expected flooding tomorrow. At this time ALL Church worship services are as scheduled. We will assess the water levels at 11am and decide whether we will have youth meeting tomorrow afternoon. Thank you for your patience.
