This morning on the East Coast, the weather is rainy and foggy—and honestly, I feel like every Memorial Day should be exactly like this. While it is a day to celebrate the beautiful memories of loved ones, the gloomy weather serves as a fitting, stark reminder of those who are no longer with us.

I am incredibly grateful for the brave men and women who sacrificed everything to ensure our freedoms endured through hardship and uncertainty. To honor them and reflect on our loved ones no longer with us, I am tackling this workout: a 4-mile run, 500 kettlebell swings, and 100 pushups.

Memorial Day is just a week away on May 25th. If you've ever visited--or plan to vist--Arlington National Cemetery, I encourage you to make your way to Section 1. It's one of the oldest and most historic areas, home to veterans from every American conflict, from the Revolutionary War to the Gulf War.

The men and women laid to rest there came before us, serving and sacrificing for the greater good. I draw inspiration from these headstones, each representing a life lived, a story left behind, and a legacy that endures. Their courage and service paved the way for future generations like mine to serve and enjoy the freedom we have today.

This Memorial Day, please take a moment to remember their sacrifice. We are a stronger, better Nation because of them. Take time to reflect--and maybe challenge yourself to try something new, do something hard, or simply step outside and breathe in fresh air.

Honoring the brave men and women in uniform today! Thank you for standing watch, protecting our freedoms, and serving as a beacon of hope and security for all Americans.

Most Americans know Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Armed Forces Day is the one that honors the men and women currently wearing the uniform.
