The IEA Excellence Award is a way to recognize our region’s outstanding members and their contributions to education. Our Arctic Warriors took the plunge today to raise money for Special Olympics, supporting athletes, inclusion, and opportunity for all.

We are proud to represent educators who lead with compassion, model inclusion, and show up for both our students and our community. 🧡❄️💙

The Primary Election is March 17 and 10% of Illinoisans will see a question on a federal voucher program.

We are not surprised that these ballot questions were likely coordinated by Illinois Policy Institute—an anti-union, anti-public school think tank funded by alt-right billionaires, including ​​Charles Koch and Dick Uihlein. We know that vouchers FAIL every time voters are asked to weigh in. Because of this, the wording is especially deceptive.

80% of public schools in Illinois are underfunded—so why would we divert public funds away from our schools and into private and religious schools?

VOTE NO to vouchers!
