One of the biggest challenges in brain health is separating assumptions from evidence.

It's natural to want quick answers.

But science rarely works that way.

Researchers spend years studying patterns, collecting data, testing theories, and asking better questions before reaching meaningful conclusions.

That process can be frustrating.

It can also be incredibly important.

Because the better we understand how brain injuries are identified and studied, the better equipped we are to have informed conversations about prevention, treatment, and support.

What's one thing about brain health that you wish more people understood?

No parent would knowingly sign a form that said:

“Your child could face a higher risk of memory loss, depression, cognitive decline, or neurodegenerative disease later in life.”

But many parents are never given the full conversation around repetitive head impacts.

Informed consent means more than signing paperwork.
It means understanding both the benefits and the risks.

Parents deserve honest, evidence-based information so they can make the decision that feels right for their family.

Our goal isn’t fear.
Our goal is awareness.

Kids deserve protection. Parents deserve the full story.

Follow HeadRush Podcast for more conversations on brain health, research, and hope. If you believe these discussions matter, support The HeadRush Foundation as we continue helping families access education, awareness, and resources.

One of the biggest misconceptions about brain health is that researchers already have all the answers.

They don't.

Every year, new studies reveal how much more there is to learn about the effects of repeated head impacts, brain injury, and long-term neurological health.

Some of the most important discoveries don't come from confirming what we already know.

They come from uncovering things we didn't expect to find.

That's why continued research matters.

And that's why awareness matters too.

What brain health question do you hope researchers answer in the next decade?
