One flock. Two campuses. Seventy-eight years of tradition. 🪶🌥️
For the 2027 Rose Parade theme, “Welcome,” Cal Poly Rose Float is preparing to take flight with Soaring As One.
Across a colorful sunset sky, a vibrant flock takes flight together, welcoming even birds who are usually earthbound to join the journey. Led by a Canada goose soaring in a signature V-formation, Soaring As One brings mallard ducks, geese, herons, a hang-gliding kiwi, a peacock, a Rhode Island red chicken, and a jungle fowl with prosthetic wings above the clouds. 🦆🐓🦚🪿
From now until January 1, students from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly Pomona will transform a shared vision into a Pasadena tradition, creating a float that celebrates the spirit of welcome, community, and the power of moving forward together!
Whether we fly high or take a different path, there is room for everyone in the flock.
