The Montana Dragon Boat Festival is just 2 weeks away and there’s still time to register! This event is hosted by the Silver Lining Foundation-Montana and proceeds from this event help support the all-breast cancer survivor paddling crew. Consider throwing together a team—you won’t regret it!🐲🐲
Common questions we are often asked about getting involved:
1. What if I’ve never been in a dragon boat boat before?
**no problem! Free instruction and practice sessions Friday July 18th
2. What if I don’t own a paddle or PFD?
**no worries! We have you covered!
3. Where are the races located?
**on the Flathead River, at the Polson Fairgrounds, 320 Regatta Road. Free and open to the public! Bring your camp chairs, there will be lots of tents to sit under and get out of the sun!
4. Will there be food and beverages?
**Yes, we have some amazing vendors; craft, food and drinks! If you’re a vendor and would like to jump in, message us here!
5. How many paddlers in a team?
**There are 20 paddlers on a team but you can paddle with as few as 16
6. What if we don’t have a steersperson or a drummer?
**No problem, we have a pool of qualified steerspeople and drummers!
7. How are teams divided into categories?
**Women’s, men’s, mixed, youth, BCS (breast cancer survivor), ACS (all cancer survivor)
