Snowline Families,
As many of you are aware, your current Board of Directors will be “retiring” at the conclusion of this season, leaving several shoes to be filled.
If you are not aware, Little League International regulations, as well as our Snowline LL Constitution, requires that there be a **minimum** of 5 members of the BOD:
1. President
2. Vice President
3. Secretary/Registrar
4. Treasurer
5. Safety Officer
These positions in and of themselves carry hefty responsibilities, so while 5 is the minimum, 7 members is highly recommended and 9+ is ideal, as there are many more duties beyond what is listed here.
For several years, your Snowline Little League has barely held on while 3, maybe 4 members did the bulk of the work, and a *lot* was left to fall to the wayside. Keeping this Little League alive WILL REQUIRE the work of all 5 members, and then some.
All that to say, as of this writing, only 2 individuals have come forward with an interest in finding out more about serving on the BOD. Our Annual Membership Meeting -where candidates are voted on- takes place annually on the 3rd Thursday in June. PLEASE NOTE: If we do not have a minimum of 5 qualified candidates BY MAY 31st, Snowline LL will begin working with District 54 and Western Region, LLI to begin liquidating Snowline LL.
