💛 Why performing together again is meaningful:

📅 Years in the ISU Chamber Choir:

🧠🤲 What they’re up to now:
Educator and Massage Therapist

🎵 Why performing together again is meaningful:
The performance is a celebration of every personal practice session and rehearsal. The experience and expression of music creates a sense of unity that lives in both the group creating the sounds and the audience receiving them. Music is shared beauty and emotion. It exists only in the present, connects us to the past, and lives on forever. Sometimes the music feels beyond my ability, yet our director asks much of us and then makes it completely accessible. Performing music makes me believe in myself again and again.

✨ Something special about this group that audiences might not see:
Everything is special about this group. It is deeply humbling to be part of it, and I believe everyone feels that same sense of gratitude and awe.

🌍🎶 Favorite performance memory:
I wouldn’t trade my music memories for anything, but my favorites are impromptu performances. I remember singing in a small church outside of Budapest a few years after the Berlin Wall fell. We performed a Hungarian song in Hungarian. One audience member, with tears in her eyes, shared that she never thought she would live long enough to hear it again and thanked us for bringing the music back to them.

💡 Fun Fact:
I have more ideas than time — and it’s a darn shame.
