🎵 Meet Our Members Monday! 🎵
We’re shining a spotlight on the talented voices of the Idaho State University Alumni Chamber Choir. Each feature highlights one of our incredible members — sharing their stories and favorite memories. From meaningful performances to lifelong friendships, get to know the people behind the music!
Today we’re excited to spotlight soprano, Allyson Gates Johnson!
📅 Years in the ISU Chamber Choir:
2002–2005
🎧📋 What they’re up to now:
Director of Events for the ISU President's Office
💛 Why performing together again is meaningful:
I knew I missed this, but I didn't realize how much my soul needed it until it was back in my life. There is joy and beauty in coming together to make this kind of music, and there is great reward in the challenges and pride it brings as well.
✨🤝 Something special about this group that audiences might not see:
Many of us have been friends for over 25 years, and even though a lot has changed in that time, we are still closely connected.
🎼👏 Favorite performance memory:
There are many to choose from, but most recently it was having the immense privilege to join the ISU Chamber Choir one last time for Dr. Anderson's final concert in April of 2024.
👨👩👧👦🎵 Fun Fact:
My husband, Jeremy, and I have a 9-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter. They both sing in the ISU Children's Chorus, which is directed by fellow choir member and my college bestie, Sarah Davids!
