Boys Of Anyimadukrom!

On July 25th I returned to Anyimadukrom to celebrate the new well at this village.

As I arrived at Anyimadukrom, the boys were arriving to attend the celebration. They had been working nearby. As you can see, some of them were still holding their machetes.

They are strong hard working boys! It was so fun for me to meet them and visit with them. The new well will change their lives! The new well will change the lives of those who live in Anyimadukrom!

I am grateful to have these boys as my new friends in Ghana! They inspire me!

When I think of the new well at Anyimadukrom, I see their faces!

Franklin Middle School - Leading By Example!

On Saturday, July 25th I attended the celebration of a new well at Anyimadukrom!

That well was sponsored by Franklin Middle School in Pocatello, Idaho.

Franklin Middle School has now sponsored five water wells in Ghana! That is an amazing accomplishment!

The students at Franklin Middle School need to know that what they have done for these five communities is life changing for those living near these wells.

Congratulations to the students and leaders at Franklin Middle School! You are leading by example! You are making a difference in the world!

Those living in these communities thank God for you!

Celebrating At Anyimadukrom!

It is always a great experience to celebrate a new well with a village!

When we visit a village and announce that we will be providing a well for our friends there I always tell them that once the well is completed I will return to celebrate with them!

On Saturday, July 25th I returned to Anyimadukrom to celebrate with our friends!

Everyone has a reason to celebrate! Everyone has a smile on their face! Everyone thanks God for the blessing of pure, clean water!

Before this well was completed, those fetching water would have to walk over 4 miles to get water and then carry the water back to the village.

Every time I celebrate a new well with my friends I thank God for my blessings and I thank God for my new friends!

A Well For Anyimadukrom!

Another miracle has occurred in Ghana! We recently completed a well for the village of Anyimadukrom! I will soon share this story with photos!

On July 25th I attended the celebration of this new well. It was an unforgettable event!

As we prepared to leave, our friends brought us gifts to show their gratitude and appreciation for their new well. They presented me with plantains, cassava and a live chicken!

They had given us gifts when we met them for the first time in March.

I love these dear friends! They share what they have and they have caring and loving hearts! I have now visited this village twice, once to announce that we would provide a well for them and then to celebrate their new well. They will be in my heart forever!

I thank God for the blessing it is for me to know and love them!

Water For Kwabenanteng!

What a happy day for the community of Kwabenanteng!

This is the scene that greeted me as I arrived at the well in Kwabenanteng to celebrate this new well there.

These two girls were fetching water from the well. It was a big change for them. In the past they would have to walk a distance to fetch water and then carry the water back to their homes.

It is a great experience to celebrate with the communities where we are able to provide a well for our friends. There are always smiles on all of their faces. They are always so grateful for the clean water that is now near their homes. They always want me to make sure to thank anyone who has helped make this blessing possible for them.

As I watched these two girls at the new well I wondered how many steps this well will save them in the next year. I wondered how many hours this well will save them from fetching water so that they can do other important things each day.

May God continue to bless us so that we can continue to provide wells for more communities!

Songs Of Thanksgiving!

On July 26th we celebrated a new water well for the community of Kwabenanteng!

Almost always when we celebrate a new well those who live in the village sing a song of thanksgiving, a song of gratitude! And then someone offers a prayer to thank God for this blessing of water and to ask God to bless us.

These friends are a grateful people!

I have learned a lot about gratitude from them!

This short video is of one of the men of Kwabenanteng leading the villagers in song after which he offered a prayer.

I am grateful for my new friends. I am grateful for what they teach me. I am grateful for a God who loves and blesses each of us!

I Am Blessed!

I am truly blessed in so many ways! One of the blessings I receive is to meet the beautiful children of Ghana!

These children brighten my days whenever I am with them.

They remind me that we are all children of a loving Father in Heaven.

This is Vanessa! I was able to attend church with Vanessa and her family on Sunday in Sunyani, Ghana.

May we each take time in our lives to be blessed by the children around us!

We Love Working With Great Local Leaders!

This photo was taken recently at the celebration of the Chiraa #2 Well. This photo shows Richard and I with the local chief and sub-chiefs and local leaders of the Chiraa community!

The chiefs and the local leaders in Ghana have supported our efforts and together we are blessing lives.

We want to express our thanks to these great men.

We want to thank them for their friendship and for their help!

I Will Never Forget That Smile!

The women of Chiraa were so happy to receive a well in their community! Prior to getting this new well they had to walk a long distance to fetch water. Then, they had to carry that water back to their homes. That was a daily task for them.

If someone were to ask me, do you know what happiness looks like, I will show them this photo of my new friend. I will never forget her smile!

It is fun to attend the celebrations we have for each of the new wells we complete in Ghana. Here is a photo of the women who attended the celebration for the Chiraa #2 Well. They were very grateful and very happy for their new well.

I thank the students of Franklin Middle School for providing me with the opportunity to see the smile of my new friend!
