Announcing the Annual Junior Miss/Mister Hopeful Program!! Age groups: GIRLS: Baby: age 1-2years Tiny: age 3-Kindergarten Mini: 1st-3rd grade Little: 4th grade Young: 5th grade Pr***en: 6th -7th grade Teen: 8th -10th grade. BOYS- ages 1-8 years old
(We reserve the right to combine or split age groups depending on the number of participants.) Judging Criteria: This is not a be
auty or glitz pageant. There is no score for beauty and no score for the best dress! Judging is as follows; Poise: 33% Smile/personality: 33% On-stage question: 33% This will be a short, age appropriate question. There will also be an optional Photogenic and Miss Personality contest. Attire: Girl contestants will wear their favorite dress. This may be a party dress, long dress, short dress, prom dress, etc. Boys wear a suit or nice clothes. If the contestant chooses, they may participate in the optional “Miss/Mr. Personality” contest by paying the extra $10.00 fee. Attire for this is a fun fashion outfit (not a costume). This may be jeans, dress, skirt and shirt, whatever you wish. This will be awarded separately and does not count toward the winning score. Tickets & Times: Tickets to attend are $7.00 each in advance and $8.00 at the door. Only participants are free. Contestants and ONE chaperone (with a ticket!) may arrive 30 minutes prior to show time to practice and finish getting ready. Doors open 15 minutes before show time for all other spectators. The pageant will start at 3:00 p.m. for age groups Baby-Little and at 6:00 p.m. for age groups Young-Teen. There are two programs in order to keep it 2 hrs. Awards: GIRL participants will receive a JMH t-shirt and a participation crown. High score in each age group will receive a Junior Miss Hopeful crown and satin sash. Winners of the People's Choice Princess and Miss Personality will receive a medium crown and ribbon sash. People's Choice Princess is decided on $1.00 votes from the public. Runner’s up and Photogenic winners will receive a ribbon sash. BOY participants will receive a JMH T-shirt and a participation trophy. High score in each age group will receive a Junior Mister male crown and satin sash. People’s Choice Prince will receive a ribbon sash and large trophy. Mister Personality will receive a ribbon sash and large trophy. Runners up and photogenic will receive a ribbon sash. To Apply: Fill out the application and send it in with your $45.00 non-refundable entry fee before Friday, February 18. If you apply on or after the 18th the entry fee is $55.00. Once your application is received, you will be mailed a welcome letter and rules. If you apply at the mandatory meeting you will be given your welcome packet then. If you cannot afford the entry fee, you may get a business to sponsor you. Make checks payable to Crown Productions. Mandatory Meeting and Practice: The Mandatory meeting will be Friday, Feb. 18th at 5:45p.m.. Rehearsal will be on March 4th at 5:45p.m. at JR Simplot Elementary School School gymnasium.
