Dear Friends:

After 6 wonderful years of rescue, we have decided to cease operations as of July 31, 2012.

Although the Rescue has been a labor of our hearts, due to many significant changes in our lives, we are unable to continue the intensive work it entails.

We are working closely with a few other Rescues to make sure that all Furry Bottoms Rescue dogs have a safe place to go in case they ever need to come back, and to make sure that the ones we currently have in foster find their forever homes. We will post that information when it becomes available.

With the help of our donors, volunteers, and supporters, we are very proud (and grateful!!) to say that almost 1000 dogs (and at least two birds) were saved from research or euthanasia over the years.

We hope to see you at events throughout the doggie and animal world in the future!

The full story on Briggs (and Blue who got rescued in the process!)

On Thursday, May 17, Tricia OMalley got a phone call from her husband, Josh, and he told her that their dog, a 2-year-old Boston terrier named Briggs, was no longer on the porch where he had just left him minutes ago. Heres the entire story, and forgive the spoiler, but it has a very happy ending.

Hi everyone!!

The nice folks at Smart Style, located in the northside Sheboygan Walmart is hosting an event called "Go Wild with Smart Style" tomorrow, May 12, from 9AM-6PM. There will be hand-painted, clip in extensions and face painting!

All proceeds will benefit Furry Bottoms Rescue and Two Left Paws!

Katie (aka Katherine Hepburn) adopted by Jim and Cindi Schickert of Sussex, WI from Furry Bottoms Rescue was featured on Fox 6 to promote a Pet Massage class at Treetop Yoga Studio in Sussex (owned by the Schickerts), this Sunday, April 1. Katie often attends classes and workshops held in the studio and now is a TV star! (Well, to us anyway!) We our so proud of our little Katie and are grateful to Cindi and Jim for giving her such a loving home!
