🐋🌊🌊⛴️👀 Looking back 3 weeks out from the greatest whale watch ever! SEF’s maiden voyage, with Nathaniel Morton Elementary School’s 5th graders in Plymouth, MA, experienced the WONDER that whale watching LIVE in Stellwagen Bank brings.

Whale sightings are still going strong off the coast of Massachusetts in NOAA's Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary! Here are two humpback whale calves, hamming it up on one of the most recent excursions!

After 10 days of being off the water due to storm activity, our partner boat was the first to find whales in the area today! We are so excited that the humpbacks are still spending time off the coast of Massachusetts after rough weather, and more sightings are yet to come! Stay tuned for more footage from our recent maiden voyage with Stellwagen Education Foundation participants, and the final leg of excursions for the 2026 season!

All the boats in the area of NOAA's Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary are docked this week due to a Nor’Easter storm!
🌧️☔️🚫⛴️💨💨

But we are still reeling from the most incredible day on the water with 5th graders from Nathaniel Morton Elementary School last Friday. 🤯🤯

Last looks at whales before we invite the students of Nathaniel Morton Elementary School aboard the Tails of the Sea! At 10am tomorrow, Stellwagen Education Foundation leaves for their maiden voyage with 5th grade students from Plymouth Harbor with the destination of NOAA's Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Stay tuned for updates on the students who will get access to the ocean in a way they’ve never seen it before!

Check out this sleepy humpback calf on Stellwagen Bank! We were so lucky to stop and spend time with this logging cutie while discussing responsible whale watching methods. Our students will be learning all about the Whale SENSE program on their upcoming maiden voyage on the vessel Tails of the Sea!
