On Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, we invite all Active Military and Veterans of all branches to join us at the Plover VFW, 2970 Hickory Dr, Plover, WI 54467, for a complimentary meal. Lunch will be served by the Plover American Legion Auxiliary ladies. Meal served around 11:30am.

Why June 14 is special?

The date of June 14 has a significant place in the hearts of American Legion Auxiliary members. Here’s why:

Flag Day is a national observance in the United States that commemorates the adoption of the American flag by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777. It is a day to honor and show respect for the U.S. flag and what it represents. To ALA members, every day is Flag Day, as you’ll often see Old Glory waving on our porches, perched on desks, and proudly pinned on lapels.

Happy 250th birthday, U.S. Army! Hooah! The Army’s milestone birthday celebration will honor the sacrifices, achievements, and true spirit of American warriors. A good chunk of ALA members’ eligibility is through a soldier.

Dropped off some gifts today 97.9 WSPT Wisconsin's Greatest Hits for the Christmas is for Children gift drive that is going on. 🎄We were able to sponsor 10 kiddos this year! Of course we wish we could have helped more, but so glad we could help make a difference to a few. ❤️

Our Plover Legion Auxiliary ladies are gearing up to help bring some Christmas wishes come true to some local kiddos this year. We've got a list of names and are ready to do some shopping! 🛍

There are lots of kids still available to sponsor so make sure to call April and the gang over at 97.9 WSPT and grab a name/ # (or a few) and help make it a GREAT Christmas 🎄for the kids!
