Erin always has a way with words - capturing our community in words and photos. What a great asset to have locally!

Drought, wind, and fire—three forces that bring a gut-wrenching worry for the whole community!

As the daughter of a farmer and the wife of someone who works closely with our agricultural community, I’ve witnessed the stress and sacrifices that come from pouring your heart, soul, and money into a volatile industry. Every gust of wind ripping the topsoil from the freshly planted fields, every week that passes with only a drop of rain, and every red flag warning is a test of resilience and perseverance.

Our farmers and ranchers rise before dawn, work tirelessly through unfavorable weather conditions, and stake their entire livelihoods on an unpredictable dream, and these rippling three forces can touch every nook and cranny of our lives—the rancher whose cattle struggle to find fresh grass, the grocery store owner forced to adjust pricing, the volunteer firefighters risking their lives to protect the lands, the farmer gambling hundreds of thousands of dollars on a single season, praying not to lose, the lineman rushing to de-energize lines, and the families worrying about stretching their budgets among rising prices.

Pray for strength. Pray for rain. Pray for relief. And rally behind the farm and ranch families, as well as the firefighters and linemen who jump at a moment's notice, risking their lives so our communities can recover and feel safe!
