The 2026 Official White House Christmas Tree was selected and it’s coming from Wisconsin! Thank you Ellie Pomerleau of WMTV 15 News for joining us at Silent Night Evergreens before sunrise and staying for White House Grounds Superintendent Dale Haney to make the official selection of a nearly 30-foot concolor fir. The tree is full and beautiful from every angle and will be trimmed to approximately 18 1/2 feet to fit inside the White House Blue Room. It will be harvested by Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association in mid-November, then transported by FedEx Freight to Washington, DC.

This marks Silent Night Evergreens’ fourth National Grand Champion title through the National Christmas Tree Association and another remarkable chapter for the Chapman family and Wisconsin’s Christmas tree growers.

Thank you WMTV 15 News for spending the morning with us and sharing this special moment! And Thank you to Portage State Bank for helping make this ceremony possible!

On Monday, September 21, David and Leah Chapman of Silent Night Evergreens in Endeavor will welcome representatives from the White House, the National Christmas Tree Association and guests from across Wisconsin for the 2026 White House Christmas Tree Selection Ceremony.

The Chapmans earned this incredible opportunity after being named 2026 National Grand Champion in the National Christmas Tree Association’s Biennial National Tree Contest. It is another remarkable chapter in a Wisconsin Christmas tree legacy. Silent Night Evergreens is now a four-time national winner, while the Chapman/Daggett family has earned five NCTA Grand Champion titles across three generations.
