The Trades for Life Foundation, in partnership with the Miami County ESC and OhioMeansJobs, collaborated with area high schools to provide students with valuable career exploration opportunities.

Participants toured two local businesses and gained insight into internships, job shadowing, work based learning and various career pathways. Students also engaged, in hands-on activities and real-world learning experiences that encouraged collaboration and skill development alongside their peers. Thank you Stull Woodworks, and Pioneer Electric for the amazing experience!

Thank you to the CCESS for inviting TFL to the Community Action Council meeting today. We had roundtable discussions with representatives of Ohio Means Jobs, Ohio Chamber of Commerce, McDonalds Corp., Repacorp, Abbot, AI industry leaders, and many more.
It was a tremendous learning experience for all involved to see how different aspects of our workforce employers can unite under a common goal to build the next generation of our workforce.

TFL had the opportunity to tour a local career center today. With its impressive 5-acre campus and diverse range of skilled trade programs all under one roof, UVCC is truly shaping the future of the workforce.

We’re proud to partner with an organization so dedicated to empowering the next generation and expanding opportunities within our communities.

We’re excited to grow this partnership and continue working toward “a better tomorrow, starting today.”

TFL had the opportunity to meet with representatives of Upper Valley Career Center today to discuss collaborative efforts focused on supporting student success. The conversation with Tony Trapp, and Jason Haak was both informative and constructive, reinforcing a shared commitment to preparing students for meaningful career pathways.

Through our partnerships with a diverse network of companies across the community, TFL is dedicated to increasing awareness of opportunities within the skilled trades, and helping students gain valuable insight into these essential industries.
