Only a Wish
..one thing about a widow, she's versed enough to know what a good man deserves and has no problem being that and more. The problem is due to the imbalanced ratio, some (not all) men feel like they can handle all women the same until that seasoned 'wife' slowly and gently removes herself from the equation from being an option to now only a 'wish' that will never come true again.

It's a one and done when you fumble. So be wise in how you handle seasoned, precious cargo. Because ain't no second chances with a woman who has had the absolute best in a man who has transitioned from this earth.

ā€¦in 4 days, Iā€™ll be celebrating my 56th birthday. It sounds funny hearing myself say it, not in a humorous way but in a humble and grateful way.

Being a widow at 41, I never desired to get older. I wanted to stay 41 so I wouldnā€™t have to face life without the man I loved and existed for since I was 14 years old.

Fast forward to now and I have an amazing life! Both of my sons are married and I have 3 amazing little humans that call me ā€˜grandmaā€™. So 56 isnā€™t so hard to digest, not with the family Iā€™ve been blessed with. I just wish he was here to see it all. šŸ•Šļø

The dating pool is a cesspool where people are so full of šŸ’© that itā€™s utterly disgusting. From MY perspective as a woman, seemingly ā€˜someā€™ of these men are not looking for significant relationships. Theyā€™re looking for HELP! Help and shelter to be exact. Her turn to not have to be everything to everybody.
Her turn to not have to worry about taking out the trash.
Her turn for being treated to a home cooked meal.
Her turn to have her man massage her to sleep.
Her turn to have him take care of her when sheā€™s sick.
Her turn to not have to make every decision.
Her turn for him to say, ā€˜baby I got you.ā€™

ā€¦every independent woman who has been put in position to be independent will gladly relinquish that responsibility to the right man who can lead her with a stable, clear mindset and the ex*****on to make her feel taken care of because of his sound judgment.

ā€¦my husband has been deceased for 14 years and Iā€™m still getting confirmation all these years later of his love and appreciation for me in 2025.

We werenā€™t perfect but we were imperfectly perfect for each other. And people ask me why Iā€™m still single after all these years. When youā€™ve existed for ONE man for so long, itā€™s hard to fairly reroute that energy to someone who isnā€™t qualified or wonā€™t know how to handle something so rare.

What my heart is made of is too much for someone else to fathom and I completely understand. With messages like this oneā€¦Iā€™m good over here, babe! šŸ˜‰

I ainā€™t worried about nothing but the family that he and I created. I just wish he was here to see it all.

ā€¦giving someone a chance has never been the problem. And itā€™s never been about comparing anyone to my deceased husband. I would never disqualify the next man like that because thatā€™s an unfair comparison.

Be who you are and show yourself to be a MASCULINE man whoā€™s not afraid to properly take the lead. Teaching a 50+ year old man how to execute in a relationship is disgustingly frustrating. Like dude, come on now! This ainā€™t your first rodeo. Go practice some more or something!

At this big age, Iā€™m not wasting none of my tomorrows being unhappy and frustrated. Call it what you want. But make sure you call it ā€˜peacefully unbothered!ā€™

Remembrance of Celebrating His Birthday šŸŽ‰

ā€¦this picture was taken on his last birthday, one ā˜šŸ½ month before he was tragically killed. It was just a simple gesture that meant the world to him because he had no idea of the plan that I had made for him.

It was on a Sunday and we had gone to church. Afterwards, I told him I was treating him to one of our favorite restaurants at the time, Red Lobster for a birthday dinner. Little did he know, I had told a few family members and close friends to join us. I had someone arrive ahead of us to secure a table for our party of 10 plus people.

As we were escorted to our table, you could see the surprised look on his face because he saw his family and friends and no one leaked my plan. He told his friend, ā€˜man you ainā€™t said nothing and I just talked to you last night.ā€™ We all laughed!

That is exactly the reaction I was going for. He looked at me and said, ā€œYou always have something up your sleeve!ā€ Then he kissed me.

It was the smallest things that meant the most to him and I knew exactly what that was for him, every single time.

If he were alive, heā€™d be 57 today.

But in my heart, he will always be 43ā€¦the age he was in this picture in 2011.
