PLANO JUST HIT ITS HIGHEST-EVER NATIONAL PARK RANKING 🌳🏆

North Texas cities are climbing the ranks — and Plano just reached its highest park ranking ever.

New national rankings from the 2026 ParkScore Index placed Plano at No. 13 in the country, making it one of Texas’ top-rated park systems. Frisco also moved up, landing at No. 30 nationally.

By the numbers:

📍 Plano
• #13 nationally (up from #17)
• 85% of residents live within a 10-minute walk of a park
• $228 spent per resident on parks annually
• 10.5% of city land dedicated to parks

📍 Frisco
• #30 nationally (up from #37)
• Highest local park spending: $304 per resident
• Continued investment in trails, sports fields and green spaces

As North Texas keeps growing, parks are becoming more than amenities — they’re becoming a major part of quality of life.
